Dear Friends:
Thank you very much for your commitment to being a part of the efforts of restoring Dealers’ rights for everyone. The response for this most important visit to Capitol Hill has been overwhelming, and we are pleased to report that as of today, we now have 205 members of Congress on HR 2743 and they are on recess.
As I said in my previous letter, all of your combined efforts are truly making the difference. This success has confused many who never believed that we could have gotten this far; however, make no mistake, we have a tough road ahead and need your continued relentless support. Remember, no rights, no franchises, and none of our futures can be protected if we do nothing.
In an effort for those that have accepted the invitation to join us on the Hill, the following is some information that will assist you in planning your travel arrangements. Washington Reagan Airport (DCA) is the closest airport to the city. We have reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel located at 999 Ninth Street, NW. Reservations for this event need to be made by you directly with Marriott reservations at (800) 228-9090 or the hotel directly at (202) 898-9000. If you mention that you are with “Hometown Auto Dealers,” your special rate will be $179/night if you reserve prior to 7/10/09. We will have our own “Hospitality Desk” set up in the lobby beginning 3 PM on 7/13/09 to assist you upon your arrival.
